Earlier this month, the so-called ’n0n’ extortion group named 38 maritime and logistics organizations in minutes. Researchers see signs of a common CyberLogitec-linked data source. That is a compelling warning, not proof that the vendor, or every named company, was hacked.
The maritime industry’s most uncomfortable cyber scenario is not an attacker breaking into 38 companies separately. It is an attacker finding a single archive that contains information about 38 companies, and presenting each as an individual victim.
